Prototypes in sintered nylon
This construction procedure uses laser radiation just like stereolithography, but in this case the manufacturing material, nylon powder, is aggregated with adduction heat which melts down the particles of the powder permanently. Using this technology there is no need to use supports to be removed after the construction, so items with extremely complicated geometrical shapes and with fine details can be constructed.
The material is highly resistant both mechanically and to heat, and can be submitted to further mechanical processing operations, including painting.
